Tim Lamb Group brokered the sale of Mercedes-Benz of Billings from WeatherTech founder David MacNeil to Ed Morse Automotive Group, closing July 8.

The entrepreneur who built WeatherTech into a household name also happened to own a Mercedes-Benz dealership out in Billings, Montana — and he just handed over the keys. Ed Morse Automotive Group is the new owner, after a deal that officially closed on July 8, 2026.
The transaction was put together by Tim Lamb Group, which bills itself as the largest auto dealership sales and acquisitions firm in North America. Two of the firm's directors, Mike McMeeken and Jay Lee, handled the deal exclusively on behalf of the seller, DMN Auto Holdings, LLC — the entity MacNeil used to hold the dealership.
